A land of nature and flavours

The Landes region is an ideal family holiday destination. The great Landes beaches will delight children and are a perfect place to learn about or indulge in the joys of water sports (surfing, sailing, kitesurfing...).

To get to Cap de l'Homy beach or to the Boulevard de la Plage, you can take the free shuttle bus (line 12, towards Cap de l'Homy or Boulevard de la Plage).

The Landes region is also home to a rich terroir as well as the Parc Naturel Régional des Landes de Gascogne. For all nature lovers, join a guided tour, every Thursday from the campsite, to discover the flora and fauna of the Cap de l'Homy dune. 

Between the forest and the ocean, the town of Lit-et-Mixe offers many activities linked to these two elements, such as surfing, sailing and canoeing schools, as well as a horse-riding centre for some great outings on horseback. In July and August, don't miss the Lit-et-Mixe market held every day in the village square! 

The countdown to the Bayonne festivals is on! There will be plenty of activities and entertainment on offer in the town, ranging from family treasure hunts to a giant Zumba, as well as art exhibitions, culinary competitions, parades and cow races. 

And to enrich your stay, go to the surrounding markets 🛍️:

• In Lit-et-Mixe: local market every morning in high season, night market on Thursday evenings from mid-July to the end of August
• In St Julien-en-Born: local market on Saturday mornings
